i haven't updated in forever because it seems like a fruitless effort. i am in serious need of some friends in charlotte. at least school will be a welcome distraction from the boredom. the weed that has recently taken up residence in my teapot will also help.

i just want to move in with my parents and never be alone again. even living on campus would be better than this. being really and truly on your own is incredibly daunting and horribly depressing. i have a three bedroom townhouse at my disposal, but i sequester myself away in either my bedroom or the kitchen/family room and sulk/ have nervous breakdowns due to extreme and pathetic anxieties. i am so sick of drugs (not the recreational ones of course), crying, and school. now, instead of working through my heaps of schoolwork, i'm going to go watch the real housewives of orange county!

i just realized that there are merely two months left until christmas. this is simultaneously exciting and disappointing. disappointing because i am realizing how little progress i have made in the last few months, but i am semi-optimistic anyway (lie).

i feel sick. i was stupid and didn't check my bank account for a few days. when i checked tonight they had charged me about $350 in overdraft fees. i now have 0 in checking and 32 cents in savings. i want to kill myself. now i really need to get a job.

so i have finally made my first college friend. only took 2 years haha. we were buddy-buddy during our marine biology field trips. we sat in the back of the van together on both trips, chatting about super inappropriate things for 6 hours at a time. she even got to experience my snoring! what a bonding experience. actually i didn't snore on the first trip, but i was sick during the second one and could scarcely breathe, hence the snoring. anyway...i thought it would be one of those things where you want to be friends outside of school, but it just doesn't happen because people don't speak up about it. however, while leaving our last class she stopped me and asked me for my number and invited me to her graduation party. and i'm all "Seriously?" and she's all "yeah, lauren, we have to start hanging out outside of school now!". and i was like awwww how freakin cute. the end. haha.

today has been relaxing. it has rained almost non-stop. my lab was cancelled so i visited two bookstores this afternoon. since then, i have read 400 pages of one of the books i purchased. hopefully i will finish tonight. i amaze myself with my speedy reading sometimes lol. van, i have a new book for you to read omg!
